FanMore Technologies Inc. (“FanMore”, “we”) operates the website fanmore.ca. This policy explains what personal information the website collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the fanmore.ca website only.
What we collect
When you contact us
Your name, email address, the role you choose and your message. The form sends these to our inbox, info@fanmore.ca, so that we can reply.
When you sign up for company updates
Your email address and a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, when you agreed, the page you signed up on, your IP address and your browser type. Canada’s anti-spam law requires us to be able to show that you asked to hear from us, which is why we keep this record. We send one email asking you to confirm, and nothing more until you do.
When you visit the site
Like most websites, ours records standard information about each request: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser type, the page that linked to ours and your approximate country. We use it to keep the site secure and to understand how it is used. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
How we use it
To reply to you, to send the updates you asked for once you have confirmed, and to operate and secure the website. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
Where it is kept
The website and its forms run on Amazon Web Services in Canada, and emails are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service. Messages from the contact form are delivered to our business email service. These providers process information for us under their own security obligations.
Our site links to others, such as SEDAR+ and TMX Money. Their privacy practices are their own.
How long we keep it
Visit records: 90 days. Company updates: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, with your consent history, so that we never email you again without new consent. Contact form messages: as long as we need them to respond and for our business records.
Your choices and rights
Every update includes a link to unsubscribe, which takes effect immediately. You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@fanmore.ca; we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
